We try to keep it as fair as possible. Please do not hesitate to report if something is wrong. The way we see it, the sooner we can fix the problem for you, the sooner we can prevent it in the future.

Our products should have a reasonable lifetime. We do not believe in the practice of planned obscelence, which is the practice of intentionally shortening the life of a product in order to entice the consumer to purchase more of the product. We offer parts and support for several of our products and a fair return policy for defective items. We would rather learn from mistakes and make an item better rather than let the customer take the L (loss).

I mean, everyone is going to say that, yes of course their own site is legitimate. We haven't been around long enough to establish a real presence, so the best I can do is give four tips on recognizing fake websites.

1. Check whois.com/whois and enter the website. See how much time has passed since the website was registered. Freshly registered websites are more suspicious because fraudulant websites will eventually get caught. If you check twigpi.com, you will see it was registered on: 2019-03-0, for a period of ten years. That's not cheap - it's a long term commitment.

2. Is there real contact information? Check the website for contact information and see if you get a response when you try it. Zero contact information or zero response within 1 to 2 business days is a red flag. I make it a point to respond to every channel that customers attempt to contact me on, whether contact form, email, social media chat, or phone. I want customers to know that I am here for them.

3. Check google transparency report by navigating to: https://transparencyreport.google.com/safe-browsing/search
and typing in the website. Sometimes it will be able to tell you if a site is associated with fraud.

4. Are there a zillion ads all over the website? That can be a dead giveaway that something is suspicious. I try to keep the site clear of ads, so generally the only promotions you should see are for amazing products on this website.

Even though we don't sell personal information, there is an option to collect information that you voluntarily provide, like an email address, for the purpose of marketing, such as an email newsletter that sends discounts. This falls under the legally defined heading of "selling of personal information." Additionally, we are required by California to allow residents of California the choice to not have tracking information collected for analytical dashboards to let sellers know what demographics are shopping their items. This is an option in the cookie permission app and is taken care of through that app.

Pangolin are amazing mammals covered in keratin scales, the same material hair and fingernails are made of. They look similar in shape to anteaters, but are more closely related to dogs, cats, and bears! There are 8 species of pangolins worldwide, with 4 in Asia and 4 in Africa. Some live in trees and some live on the ground. Their scaly armor makes them impervious to all predators...except humans. All eight pangolin species are listed as vulnerable, endangered, or critically endangered due to poaching and trafficking by humans.

Twigpi (pronounced twig-pie) started as my chosen screen name. Twig is a name and an acronym for That Which Is Good. I add the number Pi instead of traditional numerical digits since Twig is usually taken.

Recycling is an important habit to develop. We all have our parts to play, and using creative ways to reuse spent items for packaging creates a quadruple win.

Win-Win-Win-Win

1. It's good for the environment. Getting more use out of manufactured items means less resources go to waste and less stuff goes into landfills.

2. It's cheaper for us. We save money by turning cereal and cracker boxes into shippers.

3. It's cheaper for you. If we save money, then you also save money, because we are able to offer items cheaper.

4. It provides an inspiring example. It's really a small act on our part. It's not like we're making huge dent. But small things add up, and sometimes you can inspire others to act. When we come together, then we really start to make a difference.

Most people we've discussed this with have expressed gratitude and amazement about our upcycling initiative, so take it as a reasonable cost-saving measure that shows respect for the environment. As long as the packaging is adequate to protect the product inside, then we consider it a job well done!
